About the studio:

Interiors by Mika is an award-winning residential design studio specializing in warm, inviting spaces that truly feel like home. Based in the Chicago area and serving clients nationwide via our tailored  virtual design services, we work with a diverse clientele, from first time home buyers to real estate investors.
We thoughtfully blend different design influences, materials, and textures to create interiors that feel balanced, intentional, and deeply personal.  

Our design philosophy is to create homes that combine purposeful design, seamless flow, and functional beauty. Through careful attention to space planning, materials, and details, we design interiors that reflect each client’s lifestyle and the way they live.

In 2021, interiors by Mika’s Roscoe village single family home project received 1st place in MIDAS 2020 Design Awards.

In 2018, Interiors by Mika has been selected by Lux Life Magazine within their 2018 Leading Designers Awards and have been awarded the title: Most Outstanding Range of Interior Design Services - Illinois.

About Mika:

I am a wife, mother, and award-winning interior designer with a lifelong passion for understanding how our surroundings influence the way we live, feel, and experience everyday life. Growing up in a creative household and watching my mother work as an interior designer, I learned early on that a thoughtfully designed space is about more than aesthetics. It has the power to enhance comfort, improve daily routines, and create a home that truly supports the people who live there.

My approach to design combines creative vision with a background in psychology, communication, and project management. I earned a B.A. in Social Studies with a focus on psychology and mass communication, which continues to influence the way I understand my clients and create spaces that support their lifestyles. Before pursuing interior design, I built my career in advertising as an Account Executive at Saatchi & Saatchi in Tel- Aviv, managing complex projects, budgets, and client relationships. That experience shaped my organized, detail-driven approach and helps me guide clients through the design process with clarity and confidence.

Driven by my passion for interiors, I graduated with highest honors from Chicago’s Harrington College of Design in 2009. Today, I combine creativity, strategy, and technical expertise to create personalized homes that are beautiful, functional, and designed around the people who live in them. My greatest joy comes from creating spaces that truly feel like home and seeing the excitement clients experience when they step into a space designed specifically for the way they live.
